Answer

What should you check when setting up an Agio wallet or making a transfer?

Use the instructions and status shown for your account and wallet. Confirm the wallet type, available network, verification status and transaction details before continuing. Agio's Help Center guidance distinguishes smart wallets, account verification and transfer approvals; those steps answer different questions and should be checked separately.

How does a smart wallet differ from a self-hosted wallet?

Agio's Help Center describes a smart wallet as a smart contract account accessed through your Agio identity, with no recovery phrase for you to store. A self-hosted wallet such as MetaMask is a different arrangement in which you hold your own keys. Confirm the type shown in your account.

Which verification steps should I check?

Complete the identity verification requested in the app. In Agio Go, wallet access also requires an approved wallet risk declaration; a submitted declaration may still be under review. A transfer approval or recipient verification is a separate step. Follow the status and action shown for the feature you are using.

What should I check before sending or receiving?

Confirm that the asset and network are available for the intended action, then check the full destination details. Smart-wallet entries are shown separately by network. For a swap to an external address, complete any recipient verification requested by the app. Ask support if the instructions are incomplete or unclear.

Where do I check approvals and fees?

If the wallet has an Approvals tab, use it to review transfer requests and their status. Read the quote before confirming: supported smart-wallet actions may have sponsored gas, while others identify a fee-paying token. Sponsorship and charges can differ by action and network; use the displayed summary.

What if a new wallet or a transfer is not showing as expected?

For a newly created wallet, reopen the wallet list after its first balance refresh rather than creating another wallet immediately. For an unresolved transfer, record the status, network, time and transaction reference before contacting support. Check the existing transaction before attempting another movement.

How can I ask for help safely?

Use the app's support route or Agio's official contact page. Describe the feature, what you tried, the displayed status and a relevant reference. Keep passwords, private keys and recovery phrases out of the message. If invoice instructions are incomplete, request complete verified details before paying.
