This glossary gives the plain meaning of five terms that Agio Digital uses in The Bahamas: DARE Act, SMART Fund, SCB, custody and OTC.

What is the DARE Act?

The DARE Act is the Digital Assets and Registered Exchanges Act, 2024 of The Bahamas, the law for digital assets and their exchanges. Agio lists the DARE Act 2024 and the Investment Funds Act 2019 as the frameworks for its tokenized fund services.

What is OTC trading?

OTC trading is a trade agreed directly between two parties instead of on a public exchange order book. The Agio Private OTC Desk executes large digital asset blocks this way and settles in fiat and digital assets.
